NEW DELHI: Security tightened outside two Taj hotels in Mumbai on Tuesday after a call was received on the intervening night threatening to blow up the hotels with bombs. The call was traced to Karachi, Pakistan said Mumbai police, with the caller identifying as a member of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).
The bomb threat was made for the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Colaba and the Taj Lands End hotel in Bandra. The caller identified himself as a member of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terror outfit, as per the Mumbai police.
Due to the Covid-19 restrictions in place , the two hotels are not operational. Nonetheless, the security has been beefed up and the Cyber Cell has been roped in to carry out further investigations.
